Bet Overview
This is a market on the performance of Racecard Number 1s for a days racing at a particular meeting.
The Racecard Number 1 in each race is awarded 25 points for winning, 10 points for coming second and 5 points for third.
Example
For a flat meeting at York, our Heavyweights quote for the seven races was 23 - 26 reflecting our view that the Number 1 horses were weak.
If you disagreed with this however, you would go high (buy) at 26, expecting the heavyweights to perform a lot better. You were right! Heavyweights won the first and second races while two others came 2nd in the third and sixth races. On the basis of our scoring system, the make up was 70.
Had you bought at 26 you would have won 44 times your stake.
44 x £2 = £88
Had you sold at 23 you would have lost 47 times your stake.
47 x £2 = -£94
