NFL: Handicap Win Index

Bet Overview

Sporting Index will provide a handicap (known as the line) of a teams dominance over another. We will award a team that beats this handicap when winning the game, 25 points. If they win but do not cover the handicap line then we award 10 points. If they lose they get 0 points.

Example

For a match between the New York Giants and Denver Broncos we made the Giants favourites so gave them a handicap of -7 points. With this in mind our price for them to cover this line (i.e. win by 7 or more points) was 10-13. (Remember they are awarded 25 points if they cover the line, 10 points if they win by less than 5 points and 0 points if they lose). If you fancied them to beat the Broncos by more than 7 points you would go high (buy) at 13. They won 21 - 8 and were awarded 25 points for covering the line: Had you bought at 13 you would have made 12 times your stake. 12 x £10 = £120
