   Dogs: Barking Mad

Bet Overview

This is a market based on the multiple of the trap numbers of the first two dogs home in each race. It is a cumulative market throughout the meeting. For example if the dog in trap 2 wins the first race with the dog in trap 5 second then the make up so far is 2 x 5 = 10.

Example

At a 12 race meeting at Crayford, we might quote Barking Mad as 153 - 157. Therefore, if you fancy the inside traps (1 - 3) to race well throughout the day you would go low (SELL) at 153 for the stake of your choice, in this case £2. If the dogs in the low trap numbers dominate, the Barking Mad may only result in (make up) 125. Had you sold at 153 you would have made 28 times your stake. 28 x £2 = £56 But if the dogs in the outside (high numbered) traps had featured more in the first two of each race, the Barking Mad may result in 193. The same bet would have lost you 40 times your stake. 40 x £2 = -£80
